Adam Van Brimmer

Panel Moderator - Editorial Page Editor @ Savannah Morning News

Adam Van Brimmer is the editorial page editor of the Savannah Morning News and SavannahNow.com and the host of two regular Savannah-focused podcasts, The Commute and Difference Makers. He got into journalism for the free seats to football and basketball games. He wrote his first story about his hometown high school basketball team at age 15 and knew right away he’d found a career — most nights sportswriters got free food as well as courtside or press box seats. He soon found his interest had more do with the writing that the sports, and he has spent more than two decades broadening his expertise. He’s traveled to four continents to report stories, including the African bush and the Patagonian backcountry. He assumed his current position in January 2018 and has expanded the news organization’s opinion and commentary scope to include social media engagement and podcasts.
