Associate Chair of Graphic Design @ SCAD
Bethany Armstrong is a scholar of user experience, film and design and mother of a feisty little girl. She received her BFA in 2006 from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, her MFA in 2010 from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is currently associate chair of Graphic Design and User Experience at SCAD.
Bethany has been a professor of Visual Communications and User Experience in the USA and the Middle East. Her practice focuses on teaching human centered design process, semiotics, and typography. She educates students to think critically about communication, representation, their own personal visual heritage, and how to employ visual language to create connections between audience and form.
