Chelsey is an award-winning design practitioner and a Design Lead for IBM Blockchain. She’s led successful design efforts — especially regarding the delivery of high-quality user experience (UX) design for IBM blockchain applications — on more than a dozen projects spanning numerous clients and industries, especially (but not limited to) healthcare, civics, and retail supply chain logistics.
Chelsey has specialized in user experience and interaction design for more than a decade. Prior to IBM, she led UX and digital teams at top healthcare, education, finance, and civic organizations to create usable, accessible and excellent products, services, and experiences. Chelsey has hosted talks and workshops about design — especially design for positive social impact — at events such as SXSW Interactive, LeanUX, UXPA Usability Day, Interaction, and more.
She holds a bachelor’s of multimedia journalism with a minor in women’s and gender studies from the University of Texas at Austin; she holds a master’s of design degree from Carnegie Mellon University, where her passion for using UX and interaction design for the greater good first took flight.
