Indie Game Awards Judge

Harry DeLorme, Jr., Senior Curator of Education for Telfair Museums, is a curator, educator and
visual artist with more than 30 years’ experience in museums. DeLorme holds BFA and MFA
degrees in Drawing and Painting from the University of Georgia, Athens, where he began his
museum career at the Georgia Museum of Art. He trained at two Institutes for Museum
Educators at the Museum of Modern Art in New York that launched the widely-used Visual
Thinking Strategies. DeLorme currently oversees Telfair Museums’ education department, and
with the education staff organizes programs and resources for audiences of all ages, including
lectures, family days, school tours and outreach programs. He was project lead for the Telfair’s
hands on family gallery, the ArtZeum and developed the TechSpace (2017), an ongoing gallery
of interactive new media art for all ages at Telfair’s Jepson Center. DeLorme has presented on
technology-based exhibitions at conferences and advocates for and implements STEAM
education initiatives in the local community. DeLorme created and curates Telfair’s annual
PULSE Art and Technology Festival – one of only a few museum-based events of its kind. He has
curated more than a dozen exhibitions for PULSE including exhibitions of algorithmic art,
artificial intelligence, animated GIFs, virtual and augmented reality, and five exhibitions of video
games from Game Change: Videogames as Art Medium and Inspiration in 2012, to a 2019
survey exhibition of the work of legendary game designer Keita Takahashi. DeLorme has been
past juror for organizations from Athica (Athens Institute for Contemporary Art) to IndieCade.
As an artist he has exhibited his work at local, national and international venues.
