Tim Connelly was born in Pittsburgh, PA and between ages 2-3 moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL where he and his mother were intermittently homeless living mostly in a car and homeless shelters for a few years. Unable to initially go to medical school for financial reasons he went to PA school after working his way through undergrad in South, FL. Working as a Physician Assistant he lived in a small apartment and saved his money so that he could ultimately attending medical school to be a primary care physician. Dr. Connelly has always had a passion for developing a highly effective system of practice and after finishing residency in Internal Medicine went on to get board certified in Clinical Informatics. Dr. Connelly is also certified by Epic systems in analytics and system build. Dr. Connelly then went on to get certified in Health Care Quality and Management and is a certified Physician Advisor in Utilization Review/Case Management. With a passion for education Dr. Connelly is the associate program director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program in Savannah, Georgia. He is also an assistant professor of medicine with Mercer University School of medicine and teaches at South University PA School. On a daily basis he trains MD, PA, NP and Pharmacy students in addition to residents. He is married with 3 young children living in Savannah.
