Jim was born in Gainesville, TX. He attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1991. He joined GE and completed the
Power Generation Technical Leadership Development Program (TLDP) with
assignments in GE Aviation and GE Energy. Jim served as a global executive with broad
based experience including joint ventures and acquisitions in the Energy and Industrial
space. He also drove strategies that deliver continuous improvement as a certified 6
Sigma Master Black Belt and Quality Leader. He drove systemic cost improvements with
the implementation of numerous ERP and PLM IT strategies. As a global executive he
had prime responsibility for all of GE’s Renewable and Thermal Power Generation
fulfillment engineering teams across the globe.
He currently serves as GM of Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, Savannah Machinery
works which is a $200MM+ manufacturing and services solutions provider in the
industrial power generation market space. In 2015 his facility was recognized as
Georgia’s Medium Manufacturer of the year as well as Best of the Best Shops for
Productivity and Quality across all of Mitsubishi and Hitachi. Savannah Machinery Works is the first shop to be recognized with this award outside of Japan.
Jim is married to Emily and has three children. Joseph (13), Caroline (11), and Katherine
(9). He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, boating, and recently graduated
from Sea School as an OUPV licensed Captain.
