Kunal Patel is an Orlando tech leader and serial entrepreneur with more than 15 years’ experience in roles spanning leadership, software development, sales and creative partnerships. Kunal serves as co-founder of brandVR, a virtual and augmented reality platform for driving sales, marketing and education business goals with an immersive wow factor.
In 2016-17, brandVR developed three VR experiences for NASA Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Kunal also serves as Director of Innovation at Fattmerchant, a fast growing payment tech company that empowers small businesses that in three short years has grown to thousands of customers, 50 employees, and processing over $1 billion a year, and where he leads their strategic technology partnerships.
As co-founder of Indienomicon, the largest community organization for game development studios in the Southeast, he helped grow local community talent from six studios in 2013 to 40+ by 2017 sparking economic development and creating structure around talent. In 2015 he co-founded Indie Galactic Space Jam, a successful annual collaborative event between the Orlando game development and Space industries to rapidly prototype games that drive excitement for space travel and exploration. In 2016 founded the Orlando Game Space a collaborative game co-working facility to provide robust resources and professional services to developers within the Games, Digital Media, VR, AR marketplace. In 2017 Kunal was selected by the Orlando Business Journal as a recipient of the 40 under 40 award as one of the city’s leading community leaders. Most recently in 2018 with Health Innovators he co-created MeGa Health Jam, a 48 hour innovation focused hackathon that focuses on utilizing gaming technologies to solve major healthcare challenges.
