If you are anything like us, you are probably waiting anxiously for Geekend 2010’s arrival. Your sleepless nights longing for the geeky camaraderie, first class speakers, and off-the-chain after parties are only rivaled by your daydreams for the geekiest of events to come. We feel your pain, it’s natural.
While you are waiting, we would like to introduce you to one of our sponsors: FutureMedia Fest. Sounds interesting, right? I mean, the “future” is intriguing, you dabble in “media” all day long, and everyone loves “fests” of all sorts. FutureMedia fest is an awesome interactive event put on by our good friends at Georgia Tech. The event takes place in Atlanta, GA on October 4-7.
Much like Geekend, there will be tons of geeky individuals in attendance. The conference explores how content is created, distributed, and consumed in a variety of manners. You can expect to hear some very insightful panel discussions hosted by industry leaders in technology, social media, advertising, gaming, and healthcare.
Since FutureMedia Fest is hosted by Georgia Tech, you know there will be state-of-the-art technology involved. You will be able to gain hands on experience in some of the latest gaming technologies while also hearing several live music technology demonstrations. Don’t forget about the ample networking you’ll be able to do.
You can learn all about FutureMedia Fest on their website. So if you are just itching for some geek action and need something to hold you over till Geekend, be sure to check out FutureMedia Fest. Ain’t no party like a geeky party.
